About Me:
A clunky old tape recorder many years ago, set my course in life as we “played” radio. Playing was fun but I then got the itch for the real thing and 40 years later I’m still in the radio business. I love the news game and the talk show scene because the subjects are constantly changing. I have had stays in radio in Stratford, London, Sarnia, Cornwall and now SaugeenShores. I hope to end my career in this great community at a great radio station!

Born: In Hamilton, Ontario, shortly after 5 in the morning to Margaret and Emil, a long, long time ago.

Real ambition: To retire rich

Last purchase: A tank of gas. (ouch!)

Favourite word/phrase/quote: The hurrier I go, the behinder I get.

First Job: Pin boy at the Beach Road Bowling Alley in Hamilton, Ontario

Indulgence: Chocolate, which I am bringing under control thanks to Herbal Magic

Hidden talent: At the right time, I play a pretty good piano

Unverified claim to fame: Actually did the hockey lines for the Detroit Red Wings training camp for three games in Michigan. What an experience!

Pets: My beloved Ubu, a Springer Spaniel/Border Collie mix

Favourite song/artist/group: Too many to mention in too many eras. My father taught me to appreciate all music. Even at an advanced age, my dad enjoyed the beginnings of Rap.

If I could change the world: We would all slow down a bit.

Your perfect day: A sunny warm day, a pleasant summer evening, sitting around the camp fire, listening to tunes, having a beverage with my better half Ann and our dog, Ubu. Doesn’t get any better than that!

My perfect work day is breaking a good news story that no one else has. We do that quite a bit at 98 the Beach!
