Good news for residents in Owen Sound's north east end.
The city says the water advisory has been lifted and normal use may resume.
The advisory affected all properties north of 10th Street East, east of 9th Avenue East and was caused by a large water main break late Wednesday night.
Mayor Ian Boddy says they wish to extend a sincere thank you to the residents, businesses and industries in the affected area for their understanding, patience and cooperation during the water advisory over the past day and a half
The City would like to thank the staff at the Family Y, Bayshore Community Centre and Julie McArthur Regional Recreation Centre for their efforts to assist residents, as well as the Water Depot and The Water Store for providing potable water for residents who required assistance.
Boddy adds, public works staff went above and beyond, working tirelessly to get this matter resolved. On behalf of Council, I would like to thank them for their efforts.
