The Bluewater District School Board is not only made up of elected trustees but students have a voice as well.
Three student trustees and seven student senators attend regular board meetings throughout the year to report on each school's activities and concerns.
At the regular board meeting, May 16th, the students were recognized by Superintendent of Education Lori Wilder, who thanked them for their work.
Board Chair Ron Motz and Director of Education Alana Murray thanked each student individually as well.
Wilder says "Student voice is so important and it's great to have all of our schools represented."
