A drop in home re-sales in our area last month after a year of record-setting sales, but the prices paid continues to rise.
205 houses and properties changed hands in the area from Midland around Georgian Bay to Meaford last month, down about ten percent from last year.
The amount paid for all those properties was 86 million dollars, which is up 6 percent from last year.
The Southern Georgian Bay Association of Realtors says sales are stronger in the area around Midland and Penetanguishene, and softer in the area from Wasaga Beach to Meaford, mostly because of fewer listings.
There were 410 properties available for sale last month, about half as many as at the same time last year.
