Four Charged in Drug Raid

Two people in Owen Sound and two in Saugeen Shores face numerous charges.

One of the biggest drug busts in recent memory in Owen Sound, has led to the arrest of four people.

The Owen Sound Police Drug Unit, and Saugeen Shores Police have been focusing on cocaine trafficking across Grey and Bruce Counties.

On Wednesday afternoon, investigators arrested two people in a parking lot outside a department store on the west side of Owen Sound.

At that time police seized 71 hundred dollars worth of cocaine, over 25 hundred dollars in marijuana and 47 hundred dollars in cash.

Search warrants were then executed at an Owen Sound residence and another in Port Elgin, where two others were arrested.

Owen Sound police say the two searches, led to a further seizure of 76 hundred dollars worth of Cocaine, 80 thousand dollars worth of marijuana and almost 32 thousand dollars in cash. 

Also seized was a small marijuana grow operation, scales, drug packaging, and a 2011 Honda Civic. 

Charged with several drug offences are 26 year old Mathew Sol and 28 year old Jacalyn Schlosser both of Owen Sound, along with 28 year old Ryan Casemore and 51 year old Robert Landry both of Saugeen Shores.

Jacalyn Schlosser 28years of 2165 4th Avenue West, Owen Sound
1) Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
2) Possession of Marihuana for the purpose of trafficking
3) Possession of proceeds of crime
4) Production of Marihuana

Ryan Casemore 28 years of 757 Wellington Street, Saugeen Shores
1) Conspiracy to traffic cocaine
2) Conspiracy to traffic marihuana
3) Possession of proceeds of crime
4) Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
5) Possession of Marihuana for the purpose of trafficking

Robert Landry 51 years of 757 Wellington Street, Saugeen Shores
1) Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
2) Possession of Marihuana for the purpose of trafficking

All four arrested persons were held for bail hearings.
