New Doctor in Wiarton

Another doctor has signed a deal to work in the town of South Bruce Peninsula.

The Co-Chair of the Doctor Recruitment Committee for South Bruce Peninsula, Dan Kerr says Daniel Lothstein is setting up an office in Wiarton.

The office will open April 1st, but Kerr isn't sure when the new doctor will start accepting patients.

For now, Dr. Lothstein is currently working in the emergency department at the Wiarton hospital.

He is a young doctor, fresh out of school and it's the second time in a matter of months that South Bruce Peninsula has lured a new doctor to the community.

Kerr says the recruitment committee isn't done yet, and sees the need for at least one more doctor in the area.
