The Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre in Southampton is planning a gradual re-opening this month.
It will see the public facility open to members on Aug. 10, and then to all visitors on Aug. 24.
New protocols will be in place at the Bruce County Museum to keep staff and visitors safe. Among those is a requirement to schedule a visit by booking online at brucemuseum.ca, in order to ensure indoor gathering limits of 50 people are adhered too.
“Over the last several months we have all been navigating our new normal and staff have been innovating our services to stay connected and engaged with our communities. While your next experience at the BCM&CC might look a little different, you can rest assured that we remain committed to providing the same great service and memorable experiences in a safe and welcoming environment,” says Cathy McGirr, Director, Museum & Cultural Services.
The revised hours at the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre once its re-opens will be Monday to Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Some services still won't be available including the gift shop, facility rentals, the Bruce Power Theatre, the Mackenzie Log Home and the Log Schoolhouse.
