Heritage Study Suggests Possible New Sites in Kincardine

his public information event will focus on the draft of the HCD Study Report

 

Draft Results from a  study that identified and evaluated heritage resources in Kincardine will be presented during a drop-in session Monday November 18, at the Kincardine Library from 6-8 p.m.

The Heritage Conservation District (HCD) study  was completed by Stantec Consulting Ltd., this summer, to determine whether the area of Princes Street, Durham Market North and South and Queen Street warrants designation as an HCD under Part V of the Ontario Heritage Act.

(Princes Street (from Lambton Street south to 669 Princes Street);
Durham Market North;
Durham Market South;
Queen Street (from Lambton to Durham Market South).

This public information event will focus on the draft of the HCD Study Report, outlining the findings and recommendations of the consulting team.

It will be your chance to provide input on the draft report, including proposed boundaries, statement of significance, heritage attributes andobjectives of an HCD.

The Draft Heritage Conservation District Study Report will be available to review on November 11, 2019 at www.kincardine.ca/hcd.
