Bruce County has scooped another recognition award.
This one is for the "BruceWorx (correct) Modern Workplace Transformation" project.
Municipal Information Systems Association (MISA) of Ontario presented the 2019 Excellence in Municipal Systems Award to the county at an event held recently in Niagara Falls.
Director of Corporate Services Bettyanne Cobean says the project brings state-of-the-art technology to Bruce County staff that effectively eliminates most travel times to meetings and allows everyone to be on the same page at the same time.
Cobean says they can provide, "the right information at the right time from anywhere from any device."
It allows staff to be more productive and more accessible to residents of the county as well.
Cobean says besides the accessibility, the program will save taxpayers money in the future.
Warden Mitch Twolan commented "I am very proud of the Bruce County Team and their vision to
transform and modernize the workplace. To receive MISA’s Excellence in Municipal Systems Award
is the icing on the cake for this project."
Cobean says the cost of the project was around $450,000.
Bruce County was one of almost 30 nominations for the 2019 award.
