South Bruce Peninsula Fire Chief Retires

Daniel Robinson led town's volunteer department for the past 10 years.

South Bruce Peninsula's fire chief is retiring.

Daniel Robinson is moving on after a 39-year career in emergency services, including the last 10 as leader of the town's volunteer fire department.

"Chief Robinson has been absolutely instrumental in leading change and his dedication to our community should be commended," South Bruce Peninsula Mayor Janice Jackson says.

Normand Beauchamp has been named the new Director of Emergency Services and Fire Chief for the town, effective June 17.

He comes with 28 years of experience, including 19 as a Fire Chief.

Most recently, Beauchamp served as Fire Chief for the City of Timmins.
