Georgian Bluffs are keeping a close eye on heavy trucks this spring.
This stems from a number of complaints from residents.
Councillor Paul Sutherland brought up the issue during last night's Committee of the Whole meeting.
Load restrictions for heavy trucks on all municipal roads are in effect until May 1st.
These vehicles are restricted to five tonnes per axle.
Acting CAO and Director of Operations Rick Winters says the Township have referred three such calls to the OPP.
He says they have responded to the complaints and are looking into it.
Winters says the trucks are causing roads to deteriorate and it is a great concern.
He says some of these trucks are often found around housing developments.
