A 49-year-old Hanover man faces charges after police executed a search warrant yesterday.
Hanover Police say the warrant was carried out at a residence on 10th Street in Hanover early Thursday evening.
Police seized methamphetamine and brass knuckles, as well as a large amount of personal identification stolen from many persons.
Hanover Police say the personal identification was taken from people residing in Hanover, West Grey, Markham and Elmira. The items located by police include driver's licenses, credit cards, birth certificates, an Ontario Health card and a Canadian passport.
Police say the man was arrested and faces numerous charges, including possession of methamphetamine, possession of a prohibited weapon and five counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000.
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing and has been released on his own recognizance to appear again in court on Feb. 20.
