Grey Bruce Health Services seem pleased with the recent donation from Bruce Power.
$850,000 are going to the four hospital foundations under the organization's umbrella.
Owen Sound Regional, Bruce Peninsula, and Saugeen Memorial are each receiving $250,000 over the next five years while Meaford is getting $100,000 over five years.
Chief, Communications and Public Affairs Mary Margaret Crapper says GBHS spend about $6 Million a year on infrastructure and upgrades to equipment.
She says they rely on support from the foundations to make these capital purchases.
Crapper says the donation allows doctors and nurses to have the tools to deliver great care.
She says it helps keeps communities healthy and well-equipped hospitals attract people to the region.
Crapper says Bruce Power has been very generous to the hospitals in the past.
She says this means patients don't have to travels to larger centres like Toronto to receive the care they need.
Bruce Power pledged $1.45 Million over the next five year to ten area hospitals.
