Hanover Hospital Begins Cardiac Fundraiser

Hanover | by Robyn Garvey

The goal is to raise $358,000 to purchase a new cardiac monitor and wand.

In just eighteen months time, the Hanover and District Hospital Foundation has reached its fundraising goal for the new ultra sound machine and it is now time for a new challenge.

With the 250 thousand dollar ultra sound fundraising campaign wrapped up, Foundation Coordinator Kim Lawson says the HDH Foundation is ready for their next big project.

The goal is to raise 358 thousand dollars to purchase a new cardiac monitor and wand for the Hospital.

Lawson notes that the hospital deals with a lot of cardiac care issues whether it be through family practice, Emergency Department Visits or the Cardiac Rehab program.

As such, she says the new cardiac monitor and wand will serve as a useful tool to benefit cardiac patients and their care.

Lawson is confident the community will rally behind such a worthy cause.

She says HDH is fortunate to draw from a very generous community that stretches well beyond Town limits and into the hospital’s catchment area.

While there is no firm timeline set out, the goal is to raise the 358 thousand dollars as quickly as possible.

The upcoming 15th Anniversary Crystal Hospital Charity Gala this June will certainly help take a big bite out of the fundraising goal.

Every two years the Foundation hosts a Charity Gala which serves as the Foundation‘s biggest fundraising event.

This year’s gala is taking place on June 8th, tickets are 100 dollars a piece and come with a $50 tax receipt.
