Tiverton | by Ken Hashizume

$1.45 Million is going to ten hospital foundations over the next five years.

Several hospital foundations will be receiving money from Bruce Power.

The company announced on Saturday (2nd) that they are committing $1.45 Million over the next five years.

Three hospital foundations will receive $250,000 each: Bruce Peninsula, Saugeen Memorial, and Owen Sound Regional.

Seven more (Hanover and District, Walkerton and District, Meaford, Clinton Public, Wingham District, Alexandra Marine and General in Goderich, Chesley and District Health Services) will each get $100,000.

In a news release, Bruce Power says the funds will support the efforts to provide hospitals with the latest equipment and services while recognizing the important work and services provided by local hospitals to local residents and visitors.

Bruce Power announced last summer that it will focus $2 Million of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) budget between 2019 and 2023 on health care, mental health and education initiatives.
