It will look a lot like Christmas in Downtown Owen Sound this Friday.
It's Festive First Friday, the winter version of a quarterly event of later shopping and festivities in the city.
The event is hosted by the DIA and on December 7th from 6 to 9 p.m.
Under the many twinkling Christmas lights in dowtown Owen Sound, merchants will have holiday specials, there will be carollers and horse-drawn carriage rides.
You'll be able to find participating businesses by looking for the festive balloons and the FESTIVE 1st FRIDAY signs in the windows.
Businesses taking part and offering specials include All Things T, Barebirch, Becker Shoes, Dr. Cobbler Shoes & Swirls, Decor Design, Fulfords, Inside Ideas, Jan's Candle & Gifts, Just A Cup, Lawson's, The Milk Maid, NakdBasics, Nathaniels, Owen Sound Wellness Lifestyle Changes and More, Parsons Foto Source, ProSport Fan Shop, The Rocking Horse, The Runner's Den, Scenic City Game Emporium, Shear Impulse, Shoppers Clothing Company, Sunpoint Sweetpea Wholesome Baby, D.C. Taylor Jewellers and Coates & Best.
Birgit's Pastry Cafe will host a Euchre Tournament from 6-8 pm. Prize for the best score will be 2 tickets to the Christmas Concert by the Georgian Bay Concert Choir at the Harmony Centre. Fri. Dec. 14th at 7:30.
The Bleeding Carrot & Show Offs Home Stuff will have an open mic from 4-6 p.m.
Casero Kitchen Table will be featuring local mulled wine.
Grey Gallery will have a variety of Christmas cards and decor items including zombie snowmen by special effects artist Jonathan Craig.
Heartwood Home will have a sale and a live pianist serenading customers.
Her Wellness is holding an open house.
The Milk Maid will have festive holiday drinks and samples.
Owen Sound Artists' Co-op will be offering the opportunity to make your own personal wrapping paper, $5 per sheet.
