Two people face drug trafficking related charges after a police raid on an Owen Sound residence.
Owen Sound Police say around 10 p.m. Wednesday night a man and woman were arrested by detectives in the driveway of a 3rd Avenue East residence.
Police say the two were found to be in possession of a significant amount of fentanyl, crystal meth, heroin and cash.
This morning, officers executed a search warrant at the residence on 3rd Avenue East.
City Police say evidence of drug trafficking -- including scales and cash -- were seized.
The estimated street value of the drugs, cash and drug paraphernalia seized exceeds $50,000.
Police have charged Michael Bemister of Owen Sound and Jessica Claridge of Northern Bruce Peninsula with:
-possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl
-possession for the purpose of trafficking heroin
-possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine
Police say Bemister also faces charges of breach of probation and possession of proceeds of crime, while Claridge faces two counts of failing to comply with recognizance.
Both accused were held in custody for a bail hearing today.
