You can put yourself in the pink just by paying attention to the colors in your life. For example, wearing green attracts money. Writing things on yellow paper helps you remember them. You'll get faster restaurant service if you wear red. Psychologist Dr. Edna DuShann discovered these and other facts during a 15-year career studying the effects that colors have on people attitudes and behavior. Here are DuShann's tips on colors and what they can do for you.
- Red energizes both the mind and body. To work more efficiently, keep a bright red object close by and look at it regularly. You'll get waited on sooner in bank lines and restaurants if you wear red because it's a bold color that demands attention.
- Green has a deep subconscious association with wealth. Look at a green lawn or tree leaves to help you generate money-making ideas. When applying for a loan wear green to your interview.
- Yellow stimulates memory. When trying to recall someone's name or where you put your keys, look at a yellow bandana or an unpeeled lemon. To retain information, write it on a yellow legal pad.
- Blue relaxes us. Look at the sky or at the ocean when you're dressed. Wearing a blue shirt or sweater makes others feel more comfortable around you.
- Pink has an amazingly positive effect on the immune system. To stay healthy or fight the beginnings of a cold or flu, surround yourself with pink.
- Gray is great for helping you get out of yourself. When personal problems threaten to overwhelm you, look at a charcoal gray cloth or object to slow your self-centered thoughts and make you more objective. Wearing gray can make you blend into a crowd.
- Violet is associated with confidence and personal power. Next time you have to take on a difficult task, especially one involving other people, look at a violet pastel painting or cloth. Violet will also help you command respect from those around you, but don't overdue it. A violet shirt or jacket is going too far. Better to sport a violet tie or scarf.
- White is the color of purity. Looking at clean white pillowcases, nice fluffy clouds or newly driven snow will help you fight temptation and resist bad habits. For reasons not completely understood, wearing white makes women sexually attractive to men, but women regard men who wear the color as less sexy and more brainy.
We say forget all that stuff about gender equality. Men and women are different, and new studies show that women have the upper hand. Science proves what you always suspected, women are superior. They have stronger hearts and more robust immune systems. They also have better memories, more sensitive noses, more refined taste buds and they live longer.
- Brain: Certain parts of the female brain linked to language have more nerve cells than a man's, giving women an advantage in reading and speech.
- Ears: A woman's hearing is more sensitive and she uses both ears when listening to a conversation, while guys tend to use only one. Also, men start losing their hearing earlier at age 32 compared to 38 in women.
- Eyes: Color blindness is less of a problem for women because the most common form of the disorder is hereditary and carried only in men.
- Nose: With flatter, smaller noses, women can discern the mere wisp of a smell.
- Mouth: Foods pack more of a wallop for women because female saliva enlivens the taste of sweet or spicy foods.
- Heart: Women's hearts beat faster than men's, 90 times per minute compared to 80 while awake, and 66 to 56 during sleep.
- Armpits: Perfume isn't the only reason women smell better. They perspire less because they have fewer sweat glands.
- Hands: Men are more likely to be left-handed, and that makes their lives more difficult since most tools and appliances are built for right-handers.
- Liver: Women process medication differently, often enhancing the effect. But they're slower to break down alcohol and so they get tipsy quicker.
- Joints: The hormone estrogen heightens the elasticity of women's tissue and joints.
- Lungs: Women don't get the hiccups as often as men, and they breathe slower at nine breaths a minute to a man's 12.
- Hormones: Estrogen boosts the good cholesterol and lowers the bad kind. It also prevents fatty build-up in the arteries and shields a woman's bones, heart and brain.
- Stomach: The female digestive tract works slower, giving the body more time to absorb the nutrients from food.
- Immune system: The hardier immune system of the female battles viruses, bacteria and parasites more successfully.

(WiredNewYork.com) Nearly 70% of men say they wish they received more regular compliments from their partner. Here are some simple ones to bestow upon your guy:
- Your arms are definitely looking bigger - Men are just as concerned about their bodies as women are!
- Men value a sense of humor, so a hearty, genuine laugh is as flattering as it gets.
- It doesn't matter whether it comes as he's getting undressed or after you've finished having sex, this short, sweet word (best done in a whisper) may just be the ultimate ego-stroke.
- You the man - Guys hear it from other guys all the time. But coming from a woman, it's pretty darn sexy.
- The kids just adore you. 50% of men say that it's their families that define them.
- What do you think? - Men need to know that their opinion matters.
- Cute feet - Tell a guy he has good feet, and somehow he takes it as a double-bagger compliment. You not only like his genetics, but also appreciate he can keep himself better groomed than the rest of the gnarly-nailed heathens out there.
- Meow - Men like to know that they bring out the animal in you. Impressive - Men love being acknowledged for their strength, power, and, simply, their masculinity.
- I want you - What a guy really wants to hear is that he's the total package, and this acknowledgment of that, whether it's referring to bedroom behavior or relationship stability, is the ultimate compliment of them all.
PHOENIX - After nearly three weeks on the run, an escaped state prison inmate and his fiancee who were targets of an intense nationwide manhunt were captured Thursday at an Arizona campground after an alert forest ranger spotted the suspicious couple, along with their stolen vehicle hidden in the trees.
John McCluskey, 45, and Casslyn Welch, 44, who also is the inmate's cousin, were taken into custody by several law enforcement officers about 7:15 p.m. at a campsite at the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest in eastern Arizona. Welch at first wielded a weapon, but dropped it when she saw she was outgunned by a SWAT team, said David Gonzales, U.S. marshal for Arizona.
