Who are the Lake Huron Explorers?
Andrew Armitage
Historian, author, and librarian, Andrew has been chronicling the life and times along the Lake Huron coast and around Georgian Bay for over twenty-five years. The Bruce Peninsula Explorer and the Sweetwater Explorer: Paddling in Grey and Bruce Counties are the results of his exploration of the land and waters between Georgian Bay and Lake Huron. His stories of pioneer life in the Queen's Bush were first heard on 560 CFOS in 1975.
Ross Kentner
Ross has been with 560 CFOS for 45 years, he provides the passionate voice for this feature and is the General Manager of the Bayshore Broadcasting Corporation. A past president of the Ontario Association of Broadcasters, Ross also voices the Georgian Bay Explorer on 560 CFOS and Mix 106 and contributes a daily commentary to 560 CFOS.
